Yvonne Poirier

Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Yvonne Poirier, 67, will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 10:00AM with Fr. Matthew Hebert officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 11:00AM to 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 8:00AM until time of services.

A resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Yvonne passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025. A devoted woman of faith, she generously gave her time and heart to her church and community. Twenty-six years of her Commercial Banking career were spent helping local small businesses and local entrepreneurs. She also spent many hours giving back through local charities, as well organizing many holiday gift drives and local food drives. Mrs. Yvonne also directed the youth group for nearly ten years and was actively involved in the Catechism program at St. Anne Catholic Church, where her guidance and dedication touched many lives. She found great joy in cooking, traveling, and relaxing by her swimming pool. Above all, Mrs. Yvonne cherished time spent with her family, whom she loved deeply. Her kindness, faith, and unwavering commitment to those she served will be fondly remembered. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, church family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Francis Poirier of Youngsville; her children, Krystal Poirier and her wife Emily of Lafayette, and Brandon Poirier and his wife Jennifer of Maurice; her grandchild, Logan Miller; and her siblings, Carolyn Biddick, Jeanette Miller, Harold Martin, and Kevin Martin.

She is preceded in death by her biological parents, Lloyd Martin and Helen Lacombe Martin; her parents who raised her, Calvin Lacombe and his wife, Celestine Touchet Lacombe; and her brother, Warren Martin.

Serving as pallbearers will be Francis Poirier, Brandon Poirier, Steven Poirier, Teddy Eastin, Jermery Biddick, and Logan Miller.
