Abbeville – Funeral Services for Mr. William F. “Bill” Batic, age 81, will be held at 11:30AM, on Friday, February 27, 2026, at St. Mary Magdalan Catholic Church, with Deacon Billy Vincent officiating. Burial will follow at Esther Community Cemetery. A Recitation of the Rosary will be held before Mass at 11:00AM.

Mr. William F. "Bill" Batic passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, at Eastridge Nursing Home. Bill was a lifelong artist whose world revolved around creativity. A sculptor and painter, he devoted himself fully to his art and found his greatest joy in bringing ideas to life with his hands. Art was not simply something Bill did, it was who he was. His work reflected his spirit, his imagination, and the quiet dedication he carried throughout his life. His artwork is proudly exhibited at the Cultural Center in Abbeville, Louisiana, where his legacy will continue to inspire others.

Bill was a beloved brother and uncle who will be remembered for his gentle nature, his independent spirit, and his deep love for artistic expression. Those who knew him understood how completely he lived for his art and how much meaning it brought to his life.

He is survived by his sister, Eileen Dumesnil; her children; and her grandchildren, who will cherish his memory and the creative legacy he leaves behind.

Bill’s life was measured not only in years, but in the beauty he created. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him.
