Sophie Domec Gerard

Lafayette – Funeral services for Sophie Domec Gerard, 95, will be held Saturday July 4, 2020 at 12:30 PM in St. Anne Catholic Church, with Father Michael Rousso officiating.

Visitation will be held Saturday July 4, 2020 from 9:00 AM until time of services with a Rosary recited at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.

Sophie was a native of Cecilia LA and a resident of Youngsville, she was retired from The State of Louisiana. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She passed away Wednesday July 1, 2020 at Maison de Lafayette.

Survivors include her children Billy Gerard, Barbara Baudoin, Trudy Mayard, and Patsy Adams; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Sophie was preceded in death by her husband Exal Gerard; her parents Hypolite and Eulalie Nassans Domec; and her siblings Huey, Francis, Paul, Pearl and Elizabeth Domec.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren; Tony Baudoin, Shannon Phillips, Nicole Franciol, Timothy Franciol, Brandon Adams and Raleigh Mayard.
