Sheila Ullmann Fremin, 68, passed away at 3:40PM on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at her residence in Youngsville, La. Sheila was a simple woman who found joy in life's everyday moments. Above all else, her greatest love was her fur babies, who brought her endless happiness and were cherished as members of her family.
She also loved spending time at the beach, getting lost in a good book, and organizing just about everything. Those who knew her best understood that organizing wasn't just something she did—it was one of her greatest passions. If you know, you know.
Sheila proudly served her country in the United States Navy, a chapter of her life that reflected her sense of duty, dedication, and service. Following her military service, she dedicated many years of her career to IBM, working in several locations throughout her time with the company, including New York City at the World Trade Center complex. She took pride in her work and the relationships she built along the way.
Sheila was a loving wife whose kindness, quiet strength, and caring heart touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her beloved pets, and the simple pleasures that made her life full.
Sheila's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Lance Fremin; a brother Ron Ullmann and his wife Betty; a sister, Lori Ullmann Clements; three nephews, Clinton Ullmann and his wife Valerie, Bryce Clements, and Connor Clements; a sister-in-law, Vallie Hollier and her husband Scott; three nieces, Sindra Salinas and her husband Steven, Jenci Lavergne and her husband Cory, and Dr. Ainsli Blinson and her husband Justin; six great-nieces, Drew Salinas, Tatum Salinas, Lily Lavergne, Olivia Lavergne, Sophia Blinson, and Ryann Ullmann; and three great-nephews, Bennett Blinson, Jackson Blinson, and Chance Ullmann.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walton and Georgia Jansky Ullmann; her cherished babies, Noelle and Georgie; a brother, Derwin Ullmann; a brother-in-law, John Clements; and a great-nephew, Nate Salinas.
