New Iberia – Funeral Services for Mr. Sananh Chiamsachang, 77, will begin at 1:00PM on Saturday, November 08, 2025, at Frioux-David Funeral Home of New Iberia.

Visitation will begin at 10:00AM on Friday, November 07, 2025, until 8:00PM and will resume at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 08, 2025, until the time of service.

Sananh, a devoted husband, loving father, and proud immigrant who built a beautiful life for his family in America, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Born abroad, Sananh came to the United States in 1980 in search of a better life. He arrived with little more than courage and hope—he didn’t speak a word of English, but through hard work, determination, and an unshakable spirit, he made this country his home.

Sananh was a man of quiet strength and deep love. He took great pride in providing for his family, ensuring they always felt safe, cared for, and cherished. His hands were never idle—whether working, cooking, or fixing something around the house, he gave everything he did his full heart.

Outside of his home, Sananh found joy in nature. He loved fishing and hunting—whether it was squirrels, deer, or ducks, he was happiest outdoors, surrounded by the peace of the woods and water.

A true food lover, Sananh had a refined palate and a curiosity for flavor. He delighted in cooking for family and friends, especially his specialties—crispy fried chicken and his famous fish salad. He also had a passion for trying new and exotic dishes, always eager to share a taste of the world with those he loved.

To his family, Sananh was more than a husband and father—he was their foundation, their teacher, and their example of perseverance and love. His laughter, wisdom, and warmth will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

He is survived by his wife, Nhounh Chiamsachang; a son, Steven Chaimsachang; four daughters, Vonna Flores-Lopez, Chanh Chiamsachang, Thippavanh Chiamsachang, and Nung Chiamsachang; and 22 grandchildren.

Serving as pall bearers will be Aroun Sengmany, Khan Phothisene, Michael Keomoungkhoune, Anthony Sopitpanya, Eri Peralta, and Dalloune Vongkhamchanh.

Frioux-David Funeral Home of New Iberia at 1101 Trotter Street (337) 369-6336 will be handling the arrangements.
