Jeanerette–A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Ronnie Delcambre, age 80 on Friday, November 14, 2025, 12:00 noon, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Keith Landry as Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Beau Pre’ Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 noon. A Rosary will be prayed prior to the service in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m.
A native of Jeanerette and resident of New Iberia, Ronnie Delcambre passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at his residence in New Iberia.
Ronnie was married to the love of his life, Cheryl L. Delcambre, for 60 wonderful years. Together they raised two sons, Brian and Kevin, who were the pride and joy of his life. As part of his legacy, he leaves behind six cherished grandchildren and one great-grandson. Ronnie was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved the outdoors—especially deer hunting. He spent many memorable trips hunting with his sons and found joy in reloading ammunition in preparation for their adventures. In his younger years, he also enjoyed fishing and archery, even competing alongside his brother.
Ronnie was known for his strong work ethic and skill as a welder, often designing and building metal objects needed for work and home. He took great pride in his craftsmanship and passed on his dedication and integrity to his sons. A man of deep faith, Ronnie loved the Lord and spent much time praying the rosary for those in need of prayer and intervention. His kind heart, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family and faith will be remembered and treasured by all who knew him.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 60 years, Cheryl Landry Delcambre; sons, Brian Delcambre (Tracy), Kevin Delcambre (Nina); grandchildren, Grant Delcambre (Nija), Bryce Delcambre, Kori Delcambre (fiancé Patrick O’Donnell), Julia Delcambre, Matthew Delcambre (Tyler), Ryleigh Grace Delcambre; great grandson, Matthew James Delcambre, II; siblings, Jerry Delcambre (Jane), Rickey Delcambre (Karen), Jackie Delcambre; sister-in-law Darnelle Delcambre
He was preceded in death by parents, Amilcar “Mickey” and Lorena Hebert Delcambre; siblings, Raymond Delcambre, Barbara D. Montz, Wayne Delcambre, and Dickie Delcambre.
