Ronald Paul LeBouef

Lafayette – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Ronald “Ronnie” Paul LeBouef, 75, at 12:00PM, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Saint Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville with Father Michael Russo officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Mausoleum in Broussard.

Visitation will begin at 8:00AM, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Lafayette and continue until the time of service. A Recitation of the Rosary will be led by Scott Boudreaux at 10:30AM. Ronnie lived a life rooted in simple joys, strong values, and deep connections with others. An avid beagle trainer and hunter, he felt most at home in the woods, on the water fishing, and simply enjoying nature. He was also a devoted supporter of the Ragin’ Cajun Athletics, always cheering with pride and enthusiasm. Ronnie never met a stranger. He had a gift for conversation and connection, often adding an extra thirty minutes to any outing to listen to your troubles or anything you wanted to discuss. His warmth, humor, and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone he met. From an early age, he developed a strong work ethic while helping at his parents’ grocery store, LeBouef’s Supermarket–later becoming LeBouef’s Deli–which opened in the 1960s. That dedication carried through his life, shaping him into a dependable and loyal man–qualities that defined him as a husband, father, and friend. Full of life and always wearing a smile, Ronnie was known for his kind heart, great sense of humor, and extreme sincerity. He was especially proud of his role as grandfather, doting on his grandchildren and cherishing every moment with them. In retirement, he discovered a passion for woodworking. He found joy in crafting crosses and bird feeders, often gifting his handmade creations to family and friends. His first crosses were especially meaningful, made from leftover wood from his son’s home, a reflection of both his creativity and his deep love for family. Ronnie loved his community and valued the relationships he built throughout his life. He will be remembered as a good soul who brought light, laughter, and kindness wherever he went, a truly wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed. 

Ronnie is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Sandra Landry LeBouef of Abbeville; three sons, Jared LeBouef and his wife Melissa “Missy” of Baton Rouge, Jason LeBouef and his wife Andrea of Scott, and Blake LeBouef and his wife Allison of Youngsville; one daughter, Sarah LeBouef of Abbeville; one brother, Ray LeBouef and his wife Christie of Milton; four grandchildren, Tanner LeBouef, Anna LeBouef, Briley LeBouef, and Cole LeBouef; and two Godchildren, Glenn LeBouef and Justin Trahan.

Pallbearers will be Jared LeBouef, Jason LeBouef, Blake LeBouef, Tanner LeBouef, Cole LeBouef, Derrell Landry, and Randal Landry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ray LeBouef, Joey Trahan, Toby Melancon, Scott Breaux, Jim Rabalais, Scott Bowlin, Tim Breaux, Glen Raggio, Shawn Dugas, and Randy Monceaux.
