New Iberia-Funeral Services for Mr. Ricky James Broussard, 73, will be held at Frioux Funeral Home of New Iberia on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11:00AM with Pastor Caleb Silvertooth officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Frioux Funeral Home of New Iberia on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 8:00AM until time of services.

A native of New Iberia, Mr. Ricky passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026. He had a passion for fishing and crabbing. He found peace on the water and happiness in every catch. He never passed up a good meal and was well known for his sweet tooth, always making room for dessert and enjoying life's little treats. Whether spending time outdoors, sharing food with family and friends, or telling stories that brought laughter, he made every moment special. He will be lovingly missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Broussard of New Iberia; his children, Ritchie Broussard and his wife Merrilee, Crystal Erwin and her husband John, Abita Devine and her husband Joe, and Pamela Businelle and her husband Jacob; his grandchildren, Sadie, Brad, Justin, Tayler, Jade, Kirsti, Logan, Jeremy, Unydi, and many more; his great grandchildren, Gianni, Sawyer, Paris, London, Christian, Drew, Tatum, Liam, Nolan, Josette, Landon, Robbie, Roman, and Rylee; his brother, Richard Broussard; and his nieces and nephews, Lara, Jagger, Cindy, Donnie, Lon, Lynn, Chantel, Tamera, Azure, and Nickie.

He is preceded in death by his son, Cleveland Fryou, Jr.; his parents, Kosute Broussard and Rita Romero Broussard; and his siblings, Bobby Broussard and Raymond Broussard.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Devine, Jacob Businelle, Logan Dupuy, Brody Landry, Cameron Broussard, and Jagger Broussard.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Richard Broussard and Jeremy Dubois.
