Richard Charpentier

Jeanerette– Funeral services will be conducted for Richard Charpentier, age 52, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Frioux-David Funeral Home Chapel with with Deacon Chris Doumit officiating. Interment will follow at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m.

A native of Loreauville and resident of St. Martinville, Richard passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at his residence in St. Martinville.

Richard was deeply devoted to his family, whom he loved beyond measure. They were the center of his life, and his bond with them was marked by loyalty, care, and quiet strength. Those closest to him will remember his presence as constant and comforting, and his love as something freely given and deeply felt. He was also an avid Saints fan and greatly enjoyed watching them play.

In his free time, Richard found joy in relaxing and doing the things he loved most. He was an avid gamer who spent many hours on his computer and gaming consoles, fully immersed in the worlds they offered. He also had a special fondness for anime, cartoons, and movies, which brought him both entertainment and comfort. These simple pleasures were a meaningful part of who he was and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his children Aaron Charpentier (fiancée Chole), Mia Owens, Peyton Charpentier, and one grandchild, Cooper Charpentier; his mother, Nelda Domingue Charpentier; siblings, Pamela Charpentier, Irving Charpentier, Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Irving Charpentier, and a brother, Allen Charpentier.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Aaron Charpentier, Irving Charpentier, Adam Domingue, Nathan Chassion, Ricky Domingue, and Dylan Charpentier.
