Rebecca Falterman Hebert

New Iberia – Memorial Services for Rebecca Hebert, 71, will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses in Patterson, Louisiana.

A native of Opelousas and a resident of Jeanerette, Rebecca Hebert passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Oschner Lafayette General Hospital.

Rebecca was a proud graduate of Franklin Senior High School, Class of 1972, and in 1973 she married the love of her life, beginning a beautiful partnership that lasted more than five decades. Their marriage was a testament to devotion and a steady love that never wavered.

She spent her time in her kitchen canning okra, snap beans, hearty soups, and pickled relish, always made with care and meant to be shared. She was a devoted member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and faithfully attended the Franklin Congregation. Known for her vibrant spirit, she was often the life of the party, bringing laughter wherever she went. She will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, and the love she poured into her family and everyday life.

Rebecca is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Alvin Hebert; two daughters, Angel McGuire, Brandy Sanders and her husband Michael; two grandchildren, Tiffany Evans and her husband Kadeem, Casey McGuire; a great grandchild, Alivia Madison; three sisters, Debra Written and her husband Bill, Phyllis Sommerfield and her husband “Charles” Kevin, Cynthia Falterman and her partner Doug Blanchard; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Earl Falterman.

Frioux Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter Street, 337-369-6336, will be handling the services.
