Lafayette – A Gathering of Family and Friends for Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Driskell Hebert, 66, will be held at Frioux Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, August 05, 2026, beginning at 10:00AM until 6:00PM.

Becky loved her family fiercely and was their biggest protector. Honest to a fault - you always knew where you stood with her. She never sugarcoated the truth and those who knew her, appreciated her authenticity. She could be wonderfully hardheaded and stubborn but those qualities reflected her determination and unwavering loyalty to the people she loved. She believed in living life in the moment and spending time with family. She loved to travel when she was able.

Her greatest joy were her grandchildren. She was endlessly proud of each one and never missed an opportunity to tell anyone who would listen about their accomplishments. Sometimes she shared the same stories more than once, whether because she forgot or simply because she loved talking about them that much. Those stories were reflection of the pride and love she carried in her heart.

One of her favorite traditions was cooking family dinners - bringing everyone together around the table to share memories, laugh, catch up, and simply enjoy being together. Those evenings became cherished memories, and a reminder that, to her, family was always the center of everything.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Edwin J. Hebert; two daughters, Desiree Wapnarski and her husband Jeremy of Youngsville, and Jenny Boutte and her husband Jonathan of Youngsville; three brothers, Charles “Glenn” Driskell, Gary “Lane” Driskell, and Brit Driskell; a sister, Melinda “Lindy” Ezell; and four grandchildren, Cohen Wapnarski, Landon Wapnarski, Aiden Wapnarski, and Sophia Boutte.

She is preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Allene Williams Driskell.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Wapnarski, Cohen Wapnarski, Landon Wapnarski, Aiden Wapnarski, Jonathan Boutte, and Sophia Boutte.

Frioux Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337) 837-9887 will be in charge of the arrangements.
