Ravis J. Landry

Abbeville- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Ravis J. Landry, 89, will be held at St. John Catholic Church of Henry on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 2:00PM with Fr. Manny Fernandez officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery of Erath.

Visitation will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 9:00AM until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.

A resident of Erath, Mr. Ravis passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025. Mr. Ravis dedicated 36 years of his life to the oil field industry, where he worked as a construction superintendent. Alongside his career, he was also a lifelong cattleman. In his free time, Mr. Ravis enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Yet, his greatest joy came from the moments spent with his family, whom he cherished above all else. He will be deeply missed by many.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Miriam Landry of Erath; his children, Brian Landry and his wife Sue of Erath, Russ Landry and his wife Tammy of Erath, and Monica Boling and her husband Ron of Erath; his grandchildren, Tricia Landry, Lacey Landry, Chance Landry, Kimberly Landry, Tucker Landry, Gavin Landry, Remi Landry, and Reilly Boling; his great grandchildren, Grace, Mason, Kipton, Liam, AnnKatherine, Peyton, Rikkin, and Knox; and his sister, Eleanor Broussard of Erath.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eloi Landry and Marie Dugas Landry; and his sisters, Ruby Nell Rogers and Florence Stelly.
