Randel "Randy" Thibodeaux, Sr.

Lafayette-Funeral Services for Mr. Randel “Randy” Thibodeaux, Sr., 74, will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 1:00PM with Pastor Adam Whitney officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 9:00AM until the time of services.

A native of Broussard, Mr. Randy passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025. He was a man who found joy in the outdoors and in the world of sports, especially football. In his younger years, he cherished time spent fishing and hunting. As life moved forward, Mr. Randy discovered a new passion in umpiring softball games. Above all, Mr. Randy treasured the moments he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by many.

He is survived by his sons, Randel Thibodeaux, Jr., Christopher James Thibodeaux, Lance James Thibodeaux, and Lucas John Thobideaux; his daughter, Hope Lynn Menard; his brother, Russell Thibodeaux; his ten grandchildren; and his first great-grandchild and his second on the way.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Diana Duplechin Thibodeaux; his parents, Eno Thibodeaux and Isabell Choplin Thibodeaux; his brothers, Albert Thibodeaux, Johnny Thibodeaux, and Joe Thibodeaux; and his sisters, Nancy Provost, Jane Thibodeaux, and Marie Go.

Mr. Randy’s family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregiver of two years, Rachel Ramsey, and to Hope Hospice.

Serving as pallbearers will be Randel Thibodeaux, Jr., Christopher Thibodeaux, Lance Thibodeaux, Lucas Thibodeaux, Russell Thibodeaux, and Cole Menard.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Noah Thibodeaux, Shane Thibodeaux, Cody Noel, Jacob Thibodeaux, and Conner Thibodeaux.
