Prescilla Mae Duhon Menard

Erath – A Mass of Christian Burial for Prescilla Menard, 82, will take place at 1:30PM on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Clinton Sensat officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath.

Visitation will begin at 5:00PM on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Frioux Funeral Home of Erath until 9:00PM, and will resume again on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 10:00AM until the time of service. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 6:00PM by Mr. Boni Suire.

A native of Kaplan, and a resident of Erath, Prescilla Duhon Menard passed away at her residence on Friday, May 8, 2026.

Prescilla loved to lose herself in a good book and paint delicate magnolias on canvas. A gifted seamstress, she lovingly made clothes for her family, beautiful prom dresses for her daughters, and tiny Barbie outfits that became treasured memories to those she loved.

She was also devoted to her beloved cats, Charlie, Lucy, and Sen, who endlessly competed for her affection and stayed curled beside her faithfully until her final moments. Her warmth, creativity, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her three children, Kristie Bouillion and her husband Todd, Brady Menard and his wife Faith, Angie Rodgers and her husband Tom; grandchildren, Tyler Menard, Jean-Paul Menard, Allie Bouillion, Roan Menard; siblings, Mary Vice, Harvey Duhon, Howard Duhon, and Cecile LaSalle.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harold J. Menard; parents, Celestin Duhon and Blanche Roussel Duhon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Heart of Hospice and Animal Aid for the Vermilion Area.
