Pat's greatest legacy is the loving family he built alongside his best friend and soulmate, Elaine, during their 61 years of marriage. Their strong, enduring bond set a beautiful foundation for their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought Pat immeasurable joy. He treasured spending time with his family. Pat also treasured his wonderful friends who always took time for visits, card games, supper club and dinner outings. Pat's dedication extended to his country, where he proudly served as a member of the United States Navy. He served on a submarine and spent long periods of time on the USS Threadfin. His naval service also provided him with electrical training, which launched his career as an electrician working alongside his brother, Mickey, at Villermin’s Electric. Pat approached every day with joy and optimism, which was a testament to his perseverance and faith in God. He embodied true resilience throughout his life, and was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. Growing up, Pat enjoyed fishing, hunting and passionately watching football—he was a relentless Saints and LSU fan.

Mr. Patrick Dale Villermin is survived by his son, Eric Villermin and his wife Pegge of New Iberia; his daughter, Vickie Crochet and her husband Keith of New Iberia; six grandchildren, Hunter Crochet and his wife Rebecca, London Spiker and her husband Koy, Ashton Crochet and his wife Grace, Luke Villermin, Anna Bienvenu and her husband Jacque, and Jane Villermin and her fiancé David Lecount; five great-grandchildren, Emersyn Crochet, Jace Crochet, Kolbi Lynn Spiker, Nathan Bienvenu, and Miller Crochet; two sisters, Penny Terry and her husband Doug of Angleton, Texas, and Peggy Gargis and her husband Michael of Birmingham, Alabama; and three sisters-in-law, Louella Ransonet of New Iberia, Virginia Provost of New Iberia, and Drucilla Provost of Houston Texas.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elaine Dressel Villermin; his parents, Michael Villermin, Sr. and Catherine Frederick Villermin; and his brother, Mickey Villermin.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Hunter Crochet, Ashton Crochet, Luke Villermin, Koy Spiker, Jacques Bienvenu, and Randy Ransonet.

The family extends deep gratitude to Pat's wonderful caregivers, Connie and Rosanna Thompson and Peggy Boutte, all of whom he loved dearly. They would also like to thank his sisters-in-law, Louella, Ginny, and Dru, the Ladies Rosary group, and Hospice of Acadiana for their unwavering support, love, and comfort.
