A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville, Patricia passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Iberia Medical Center.
Patricia was a woman whose life revolved around caring for others. She loved her nieces and nephews deeply and was often seen as a second mother to them, offering guidance, comfort, and steady love whenever it was needed. Within her family, Patricia was the natural caregiver—the one everyone could depend on. She especially cherished her mornings, enjoying coffee with family and sharing quiet moments that meant more to her than anything else. Patricia expressed her love not only through her presence, but also through her work as a skilled seamstress, putting patience, pride, and care into everything she created. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, finding joy in both the game and the company around the table.
One of Patricia’s greatest passions was her yard, which she kept meticulously maintained and always “up to par,” reflecting the pride she took in her home and her life. Those who knew her will forever remember her humor and spirited personality, especially her favorite saying that never failed to make an impression: “Don’t get old – NO!” That phrase, like Patricia herself, will live on in the hearts of her family, serving as a lasting reminder of her warmth, dedication, and unforgettable presence.
Patricia is survived by her brother, Donald Crochet; brother-in-law, Joseph Frank LeBlanc; godchildren, Eric Comb, Paige Crochet, Heidi Green, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene and Mae Richard Crochet; sisters, Lois Crochet, Phyllis “Fee” LeBlanc, Shellie C. Comb; brother, Harold Crochet, Sr.; sister-in-law, Genevieve “Jan” Crochet; brother-in-law, Oscar Comb, Jr; sister-in-law, Patricia D. Crochet.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Eric Comb, Craig Comb, Jason Crochet, Dwight Crochet, Harold “T-Boy” Crochet, Jr., and Michael Lorraine.
