A native of St. Landry Parish and resident of Jeanerette, Norman Brignac passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at his residence.
Norman Brignac was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and best friend to many. He was married to the love of his life, Barbara Vidrine Brignac, and together they raised three sons, Jules, Brent, and Mike “Magoo”. Norman found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially in spoiling his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to his life.
Throughout his lifetime, Norman served his community with dedication and pride. He was a former Alderman, a volunteer firefighter, and a school bus driver, always willing to lend a helping hand where needed. A skilled barber by trade, Norman owned and operated his own barber shop for over 61 years, becoming a cherished part of his town’s fabric. In his free time, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of fishing and tending to his garden, where he lovingly grew vegetables to share with family and friends. Norman’s kindness, hard work, and love for others will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Norman is survived by son, Brent Brignac; grandchildren, Bryan and wife Mandy, Brock, Tara, Brandon and wife Michelle, Brennan, Brett, Hannah, and Malyse Brignac; great grandchildren, Bentley, Brantley, Briley, Jack, Jane, Avery Brignac, and one brother, Kearney Brignac.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Barbara Vidrine Brignac; his sons, Jules Brignac, Mike “Magoo” Brignac; his parents, Jules, and Elizabeth Soileau Brignac; two brothers, Wade Brignac, and Louis Brignac.
