Abbeville – Funeral Services for Mr. Nghi Nguyen, 76, will be conducted at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church of Abbeville. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 5:30PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, until 9:00PM at Frioux Funeral Home of Abbeville. Visitation will reopen on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 5:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will take place at St. Andrew Dung-Lac Catholic Church on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 5:30PM until 8:00PM. Visitation will reopen at Frioux Funeral Home of Abbeville on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 8:30AM until the time of service.

Mr. Nghi Van Nguyen passed away at 9:57 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Vietnam, Nghi spent the first 34 years of his life in his homeland, where he worked as a fisherman. It was there that he developed the deep sense of hard work, perseverance, and dedication that would define his life.

For 59 years, Nghi shared an enduring and devoted marriage with his wife, Tuyet T. Le. Together, they built a family rooted in love, faith, and devotion, raising six daughters.

Nghi was a skilled carpenter who took pride in creating original pieces of furniture with his hands. He was also an active and faithful member of his church community, where he served as president for many years. Above all, Nghi treasured time spent with his grandchildren. Watching them grow, play, and succeed brought him immense pride and countless moments of joy.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Tuyet T. Le; his six daughters, Ngoc Nguyen and her husband, Larry Dinh; Teri Phuong Cao and her husband, Christopher Cao; Thuy Anh Nguyen and her husband, Victor Van; Van Nguyen and her husband, Charlie Nguyen; Hanh Vu and her husband, Truong Vu; and Vi Delino and her husband, Jim Delino; his brother, Chinh Nguyen and his family; 15 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Le Nguyen and Nguyen Thi Le.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Joseph Dinh, Ricky Montalban, Ross Cao, Joshua Wilson, Jacob Van, and Ethan Van. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Isaac Van.
