New Iberia– Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Moise Racca, 86, on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Frioux-David Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Rowe officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and will resume on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m.

Moise worked for the City of New Iberia for 17 years as a dedicated laborer, committed to his job and to those he served. He loved spending time listening to French music and drinking coffee. Family meant everything to him, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Moise enjoyed being outdoors, often working in his gardens where he found peace and fulfillment. One of his favorite pastimes was raising chickens, a hobby that reflected his love for nature and simple pleasures.

Moise Racca is survived by his children, Rickey Racca, Joseph Racca, Lisa Racca, Steven Racca (Christine), Melanie Racca, Heath Racca, Mark Racca, Shelly Racca; 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Lucille, Rose, Margaret, and Jimalee.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Genevieve Ann Sonnier Racca; parents, Abral and Lelia Rogers Racca.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Joseph Racca, Jacob Racca, Heath Racca, Rickey Racca, Jeremy ”Bam Bam” Racca, Rocky Racca, Sam Bataglia, and Shane LeBlanc.

Honored to serve as Honorary Pallbearers are Mark Racca and Steven Racca.
