Abbeville ~ Funeral Services for Mr. Michael Weekly, 72, will be held at 12:30PM on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Frioux-David Funeral Home in Abbeville with Pastor Cody Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 12:00PM, on Monday, April 21,2025 at Frioux-David Funeral Home in Abbeville and continue until the beginning of the service

A native and resident of Abbeville, Michael died at 7:46AM on Sunday, April 20,2025 at his residence. Micheal was known for his deep faith, kind heart and unwavering love of music. He leaves behind a legacy of grace and faith.

Michael’s life was serving God and using his talent at Abbeville Pentecostal Church where he was a faithful member. He will be remembered for his love of music and dedication to his church.

Michael also found peace and contentment by the water. Fishing was more than a pastime- it was a way to connect with God and reflect on life.

He is survived by his son, Chris J. Weekly; two sisters, Linda Romero and Kathy Simon, and her husband Ricky Simon; and his three nieces, Cralla Romero, Shannon McCullon, and Miclelle Fall; and two nephews, Heath Romero and Craig Romero,

He is preceded in death by his parents Presley J. Weekly and Enite Trahan Weekly; and his niece Jessica Meaux.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Craig Romero, Chris Weekly, Heath Romero, Sr., Heath Romero, Jr., Cody Menard, and Ricky Simon.

Frioux-David Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
