Melvola "T-Mel" Broussard Fisher

New Iberia- On April 30th, 2022, at 96 years old the Lord called Mrs. Melvola “T-Mel” Broussard Fisher

up to Heaven.

She was born on February 13th, 1926, in New Iberia, Louisiana. Melvola was married to the late John Edward “Sonny” Fisher. She had two brothers, Ned and Carol. Melvola is mother to three children: the late John Fisher, Jr., Jody Fisher-Broughton, and Hugh Fisher; six grandchildren: Jacob Mouton, Matthew Mouton, Wendy Bridges, Shea Fisher, Bridget Fisher, and Sydney Fisher, and ten great-grandchildren: Madilon and Benjamin Mouton, Sophie Bridges, Ellie Duhon, Grover, Margaux, Camille and Violet Mouton, and finally Owen and Pierce Fisher.

As a child and young adult, she attended Mount Carmel Academy. In her adult life she worked as a Special Education Teacher in Iberia perish until retirement.

Melvola will be missed for her good heart and spunky soul. Her celebration of life will be a private affair for her close family.
