Maryann Sedatol Pelous

Loreauville–A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Maryann Pelous, age 75, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Coteau Holmes with Fr. Bill Melancon as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., and resume on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m.

A native of Charenton and resident of Loreauville, Maryann Pelous passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2025 at her residence in Loreauville.

Maryann was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend whose generous spirit touched everyone who knew her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—casting a line while fishing, tending to her vegetable garden and fruit trees, and wandering through flea markets in search of treasures. Creative and talented, she handcrafted beautiful flower arrangements and jewelry, often selling them with pride and sharing her gifts with her community. Maryann handmade floral arrangements for countless events and special occasions, always adding her own touch of beauty and love. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and devotion to her family.

Maryann is survived by her son, David J. Pelous, Jr., two daughters, Chantal Pelous, Charlotte Baker (Mayo); grandchildren, Dustin Pelous, Christian Pelous, Bryce Pelous, Ashlyn Gary, Alex Pelous, Lacie Charles, Emily Momohara-Pelous, Michelle Montoya, Ashley Pelous, Toria Pelous, Brennan Pelous, Luke Burke, Matthew Baker, Michael Baker, Mark Baker, Jamie Mulkey; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mack Sedatol, and Cal Sedatol.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Pelous, Sr.; one son, Troy Pelous; parents, Dewey P., and Cecile Alleman Sedatol, and six siblings.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Christian Pelous, Matthew Baker, Brennan Pelous, Michael Baker, Luke Burke, and Mark Baker.

Honary Pallbearers are Dustin Pelous, Bryce Pelous, and Alex Pelous.
