A resident of Broussard, Mrs. Mary Katrina Webre passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026. From the very beginning, Katrina was a force of strength and tenderness, a woman whose love reached everyone and whose care touched everything. She was a natural nurturer, she carried a mother’s heart not only for her own family, but for anyone who needed comfort and guidance. Her love was steady, generous, and unconditional. Nothing brought her greater joy than being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
For 41 years, she shared a devoted marriage with her beloved husband, Charles “Chuckie” Webre. Together they built not only a life, but a partnership as well. Their love was evident in the way they worked side by side, weathered seasons together, and created a home filled with warmth. One of the greatest adventures of her life was traveling to Egypt with her husband to see the pyramids and together they were able to admire history.
Katrina had a special gift for growing things and could usually be found with her hands dirty in her vegetable garden. Katrina’s animals held a special place in her heart, she loved the companionship of her horses, dogs, and chickens. Her animals were as much of a sanctuary as any room in the house. When the chores were done, she could often be found with a good book in hand, relaxed in a hot bath. She was always eager to escape into a story, no matter the genre.
She is survived by her husband of forty-one years, Charles Webre; children, Joy Webre Leblanc (Jacob), Hope Nelson (Jason “Rock”), Tyler Webre, Paige Webre, and Peyton Webre; grandchildren, Kennedy Leblanc, Wyatt Leblanc, and Isla Nelson; siblings, Cindy Good, Diana Vaughan, Aleta Richard, Micheal Mikolajczyk, Raymond Mikolajczyk Jr., and David Mikolajczyk.
She is preceded in death by her parents Raymond Mikolajczyk Sr. and Tawana Joy Helms.
Frioux-David Funeral Home of Lafayette 316 Youngsville HWY (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
