Mark was a true jack of all trades – a man whose hands were rarely still and whose heart was always full. He passed away leaving behind a legacy of hard work, deep faith, and an unwavering commitment to his community and family.
A natural builder, Mark literally laid the foundation for his family’s life, taking immense pride in building his own home from the ground up. He was a cowboy at heart who found peace and joy spending time with his horses. As the owner of a local grocery store, Mark was a familiar face to everyone in town, always ready with a warm greeting or a helping hand.
Mark’s working life was defined by dedication. He spent many years working at Columbia Carbon, providing for his family with a strong work ethic. Later in life he drove the school bus for children with disabilities. This was far more than a job to Mark; he took tremendous pride in safely transporting his passengers, treating every child on his bus with the utmost care, dignity, and kindness.
An avid sports fan, Mark loved football. His passion for the game began in his youth when he played football in high school, and he remained a dedicated follower of sports throughout his entire life. Above all, Mark was a man of profound faith and was active in his church, serving his congregation and community with a generous spirit.
Mark lived life with a servant’s heart. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the countless individuals whose lives he touched
