Mardra Dubois Grand

New Iberia – A Liturgy of the Word will be held for Mardra Dubois Grand, 90, at 1:00PM, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Frioux Funeral Home of New Iberia, with Deacon Russell Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 4:00PM, on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Frioux Funeral Home of New Iberia and continue until 8:00PM. A Recitation of the Rosary will be led by Mr. Darryl Derouen at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 9:00AM and continue until the time of service at 1:00PM.

Mardra was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She displayed her love through entertaining and cooking delicious meals. She mastered the art of gathering family and friends together to make the most precious memories for her and those she touched. She especially cherished her family’s tradition of Sunday dinners, where she was the heart that brought everyone together. She was also talented at crafting, and she enjoyed looking through old photographs and reminiscing about treasured memories.

Mardra adored her grandchildren and especially treasured the special moments spent reading with her beloved great-granddaughter, Macie. She enjoyed traveling and making memories on family trips. Known for her resilience and great patience, Mardra had a gentle spirit and a way of making everyone feel loved and at home. Her love, strength, and devotion to family will forever remain a cherished part of the memories she leaves behind.

Mrs. Mardra Dubois Grand is survived by two sons, Bryan Case and his wife Kendra, and Ryan Case and his wife Jessie; one daughter, Mardra Pellerin and her husband Donald; one brother, Harvey Dubois and his wife Sharlene; five grandchildren, Amy Langlinais and her husband Brent, Casey Pellerin, Joel Case and his wife Sandra, Carly Case, and Courtni Case; one great-granddaughter, Macie Langlinais; and three step-great-grandchildren, Lexi Anthony and her husband Kam, Logan Langlinais and his wife Sydni, and Blayne Langlinais.

She is preceded by her son, Dwayne Case, her parents, Aristide Dubois and Macie Comeaux Dubois; her husband, Robley Grand; and the father of her children, Russell Case. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Mardra’s caregivers, Alice Butler, Margery Vitatoe, Jane Armstead, Sylvia Harris, Patti Monceaux, Edna Collins, and Gayle Johnson for the exceptional care they provided her over the years.
