Lorie Ann Marceaux Viator

New Iberia - Funeral Services will be held for Mrs. Lorie Ann Marceaux Viator, 65, at 12:30PM, on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Cornerstone Cowboy Church in New Iberia with Pastor Kevin Rowe officiating. Burial will follow at Broussard Cemetery Annex.

Lorie was a woman whose warmth and love were felt by everyone who knew her. She had a deep passion for cooking and baking, and her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of her creations. Among her many talents, she was especially known for her chocolate cake, a treat that brought joy to family and friends and became one of her cherished signatures. She had a fondness for the color purple, a reflection of her vibrant spirit and gentle heart. Lorie found her greatest happiness in caring for her son, to whom she was a devoted and loving mother. Her nurturing nature and unwavering dedication shaped a bond that will always be remembered. Family meant everything to Lorie. She treasured time spent with loved ones and carried a deep, abiding love for each of them. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of togetherness that will be dearly missed. Lorie also had a love for music and often filled her days with song. She especially enjoyed singing Christian and French music, lifting her voice with joy and faith in a way that inspired those around her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her talents, her devotion to her family, and the love she so freely gave. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Lorie Ann Marceaux Viator is survived by her son, Kevin Viator and his wife Earlette; four step-grandchildren, Jamal Doucet, Brionne Thodile, Leah Hypolite, and MaKailah Hypolite; and six siblings, Hazel Langlinais, Cecile Suire, Robert Marceaux, Lawrence Marceaux and his wife Ruby, Larry Marceaux and his wife Debra, and Rita Delcambre and her husband Ricky.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Viator; her parents Ellis Marceaux and Winnie Foreman Marceaux; and two siblings, Shirley Schexnider and Mary Guidry.

Pallbearers will be CJ Andrus, Robbie Marceaux, James Gaspard, Troy Andrus, Sr. Ricky Delcambre, and Blake Touchet.

Honorary pallbearers will be her son, Kevin Viator and Warren Broussard.
