Lionel “Sing” Broussard, 70, of Jeanerette, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 10, 1955, to Nathan and Camille Leblanc Broussard, Sing was a proud native of Jeanerette who spent his life giving back to the community he cherished. Known to everyone simply as “Sing,” he was an outgoing, kindhearted, and humorous man who had a natural gift for bringing people together.

He operated the family business for many years at Broussard Tractor Repair before later retiring from Birla Carbon. A hardworking and dedicated man, he was also an organizer and leader in his community — someone who could always be counted on to lend a helping hand or a warm smile.

In his free time, Sing enjoyed camping and playing golf, finding joy and peace in the outdoors. A dedicated mentor for kids, you could often find him coaching little league baseball and biddy basketball. His athletic spirit and love for life shone through in everything he did.

Above all, Sing was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He shared a beautiful, loving marriage with his wife, Becky Broussard of 43 years. He is survived by his children Garrett Broussard, wife Kimberly Broussard, Brittany Broussard. Grandchildren, Alyssa Broussard (Jace Duhon), Alaya Sillmon, and Patrick Broussard. He is also survived by his brother, Glenn “Boo” Broussard, and sister, Cheryl ”Sister” Broussard, along with numerous extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Lionel “Sing” Broussard will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the love he poured into everyone he met. His legacy of warmth and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Serving as pall bearers will be Brad Clements, Terry Credeur, Chris Migues, Glenn Guillotte, Lance Lopez, and Jace Duhon.

Serving as honorary pall bearers will be Garrett Broussard, Patrick Broussard, Glenn “Boo” Broussard, Christopher Broussard, Jeffrey Broussard, and Tyler Duhon.
