Erath– Funeral services will be conducted for Lindsey J. Hulin, Sr., age 85 on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Frioux Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jacob Aranza officiating. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to time of service at 11:00 a.m.
Lindsey, age 85, peacefully passed at the VA nursing home on Monday, August 24th after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Henry, LA on September 7th, to Clairville and Leah Hulin. He attended Henry High School and joined the United States Air Force right after graduation. He served his country dutifully for 4 years in Lubbock, Texas where he was a jet mechanic. After moving back to Vermilion Parish, he worked in the oil field for many years. In the late 80’s he attended trucking school and then drove trucks for Steen Syrup for many years until retirement.
Lindsey married Jeanette and proceed to have two children- Lindsey(Bosco) and Roxann. Jeanette passed away in 1974. He married Mary Lane in 1975 and helped raise her 4 children- Kenneth, Janice, Wendy, and Julie. Lindsey was very loyal to his family and friends. He had a wonderful work ethic. He traveled cross country for many years with work and for vacation. He enjoyed camping, photography, and watching westerns.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, both Wives, Daughter, and Grandson.
He is survived by his brother - Don Hulin. His children- Lindsey, (Bosco) Hulin Jr (Monique), Roxann Backus (Jeff), Kenneth Breaux (Julie), Wendy Breaux (Lloyd), and Julie LeBlanc. Grand Kids- Gavin Hulin, Emily Wygant, Lauren Anderson, Hannah Backus, Jeffery Backus, Colleen Adams, Matthew Breaux, Madaline Breaux, Marc Breaux, Brock Breaux, Seth Deruon, Mia Lancon, Ty Primeaux, Logan LeBlanc, Luke LeBlanc and many Great Grandkids.
