A private memorial service will be held at a later date for Linda Price Keever, 85, who passed away on January 23, 2026 at East Ridge Nursing Home.

Linda Louise Price Keever, cherished wife, devoted mother, loving grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on June 28, 1940, in Conway, Arkansas, Linda was the daughter of Eula James Wofford Price and Bernard Russell Price. At the tender age of three, her family relocated to Maplewood, Louisiana, where she spent her formative years and graduated from Sulphur High School in 1958.

In 1959, Linda married her high school sweetheart, William Raymond Keever II, lovingly known as “Ray.” Together, they built a beautiful life and a family of five children. Linda’s compassionate nature led her to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, dedicating her career to caring for children in various pediatric practices. Her genuine love for nursing touched countless lives.

Life’s adventures took Linda and Ray across the country and even to Canada, as Ray’s career moved their family from Metairie to Slidell, Irvine, Houston, Lafayette, Dallas, Calgary, Pittsford, and finally, back to Louisiana. They retired in Mandeville, spent time in Houston and Keller, Texas, and returned to Lafayette two years ago to be closer to loved ones.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-six years, Ray Keever; her five children: William Raymond Keever III (“Bill”) and wife Belinda of Springfield, Louisiana; Brent Keever of Lafayette, Louisiana; Barry Keever and wife Hilda of Youngsville, Louisiana; Blair Vincent and husband Keith of Lafayette, Louisiana; Brad Keever and wife Dea of Austin, Texas; fourteen grandchildren: Maegan Mendoza (Jesse), Jessica Keever (Ashley), Zoee Keever, Keever Vincent, Berkley Vincent, Hudson Vincent, Brynn Keever, Gage Keever, BJ Albarado, Cody Albarado, Kaylee Albarado, Hiram Vartron (Elana), Danya Vargas, Isaac Vargas; and seven great-grandchildren: Hayden Mendoza, Evyn Mendoza, Adelyn Mendoza, Anistyn Mendoza, Ryn Mendoza, Matthew Vargas and Mazal Vartron. She is also survived by her sister Sandra Owens (Madisonville), Jimmy Price (Sulphur), and Kathy Splain (Ponchatoula).

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared soon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, National Kidney Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or Wounded Warrior Project in Linda’s memory.
