Linda Chessire Ardoin

Jeanerette- Funeral services for Mrs. Linda S. Ardoin, 77, will be held at Frioux Funeral Home of Jeanerette on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 9:30 AM with Fr. Keith Landry officiating. Interment will follow at Beau Pre Cemetery.

Family and friends are welcomed to a visitation at Frioux Funeral Home of Jeanerette, La. on Friday October 2, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00PM that night. Visitation will resume on October 3 at 8:00AM until time of services.

Linda Sue Chesshire Ardoin passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.

Linda was born on February 15,1949 in Clarksville, Texas to parents, Homer Chesshire and Lorene Cunningham Chesshire. Linda spent 39 years working for Columbian Chemicals Company (Birla Carbon), both at the plant near Centerville, La. and ending her career as a laboratory tech at the corporate office in Marietta Georgia. Linda loved to fish and camp and spent her vacations and retirement years doing as much of this as she could.

Linda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Charles (C.L.) Ardoin, two daughters, Angie Germonprez and husband Mark, Mindy Judice and husband Eric. One son, Mark Smith, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 3 sisters, Ruthie Pichoff, Barbara Pichoff and Georgia Mathis, along with nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and 3 sisters.

The family would like to offer many thanks to the nurses and aids of Hospice of Acadiana for their comforting care of Linda during her last days.
