Liam Cole Delcambre came into this world, with so much to say, at 7:28am on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. From his time growing in his mommy’s belly to his time with us on earth, Liam’s life was nothing short of a ministry of love, faith, prayer, and community. Every bit of his 5lbs 6oz little body brought family, friends, and strangers together -- united in prayer, heartfelt love, compassion, and the gift of faith. Liam’s time on earth serves as a reminder that God’s greatest gifts can only be measured in love, not time. God gifted Liam’s family with 30 beautifully cherished hours with him. Hours filled with countless “I love you” moments, laughter, tears, prayers, hugs, kisses, and snuggles. He hardly left his mom’s arms as she and his dad sat in awe of his perfect little face. Every second of his life was meaningfully spent in the uninterrupted presence of his family and friends, unceasingly praying and expressing their love.
Though his time on earth was brief, God used Liam to show us that our impact does not come from how long we live, but in how purely we love and how faithfully we touch the lives of others. His life was measured not in days, but in the most meaningful minutes and hours — each filled with love, joy, and the presence of God’s grace. Liam’s legacy is profound: a testament that the smallest of lives can reveal the greatest truths. He showed us that God’s love is eternal, that every soul He places in our care has a divine purpose, and that life’s worth is found not in its length but in its depth. Through Liam, we were given a glimpse of heaven’s love — a love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who held him, prayed for him, and loved him beyond measure.
He is survived by his loving parents, Kelsey and Cole Delcambre; his sister, Ainslee Delcambre; grandparents Tracie and Rynn Delcambre, and Sherlyn and Karl Colomb; his aunt Camryn Delcambre; uncles Kevin Colomb and Austin Anderson; and a host of extended family and friends who will carry his memory forward with love and faith.
Liam was greeted in Heaven by his great-grandparents Kermit and Sapha Bergeron, Presley Colomb, Ronald and Joan Delcambre, and his great-great grandparents Ida Champagne, Hilda Viator, JR Leblanc, Howard “Pim” Delcambre, and Percy and Vivian Duhon.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Liam’s godfather, Ean LeBlanc, and his uncle, Kevin Colomb.
Though we heartbrokenly grieve, we trust in God’s promise that Liam is now cradled in eternal peace. How beautiful it is to know that he is forever in eternal bliss. Though his footprint may have been small, his imprint in the lives of his family and friends remains forever. Liam Cole reignited the heart of his family; shaping the way we love one another, reminding us to cherish every moment, and drawing us closer to God who gave him to us.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Liam to Maddie’s Footprints, Steps to Heaven, and/or Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting families through infant and child loss.
The family also wishes to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Women’s and Children’s Hospital for the wonderful and tender care they provided, surrounding Liam and his family with love during their most difficult moments.
Frioux-David Funeral Home of Erath, 209 East Putnam Street, (337) 937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
