Erath, LA- A Celebration of Life for Mr. Ken Wooten, 70, will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 1:00PM at Frioux Funeral Home with Deacon Cody Miller officiating.

Visitation will be held at Frioux Funeral Home in Erath on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 11:00 AM until time of services.

Ken, a native of Abbeville, Louisiana and resident of Montgomery, Texas, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 12:37 PM in Montgomery, Texas.

Ken lived life with a heart full of love, laughter, and unforgettable stories. An avid fisherman for most of his life, he found his greatest peace out on the water surrounded by lifelong friends, Barry Roger and James Caldemeyer. Whether casting a line or telling one of his legendary stories, Ken had a way of making every moment memorable.

Above all else, Ken treasured the time he spent with his daughters, Kimberly and Jamie, who were the pride and joy of his life. He also shared a special bond with his loyal four-legged companion, Sydney, who rarely left his side.

Remembered for his charm and compassionate nature, Ken had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. His warmth and generosity touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Wooten of Nashville, Tennessee, and Jamie Wooten of Milton, Louisiana; his brother, Michael Wooten and wife Terry of Thibodaux, Louisiana; sister-in-laws, Cindy Hebert and her husband Widley Hebert, Jr. of Maurice, LA; his brother-in-laws, Danny Hebert and his wife Tina of Milton, LA, Kenny Hebert and his wife Christy of Breaux Bridge, LA, Gary "Pookie" Hebert of Milton, LA, his godchildren, Wesley Hebert and wife Natalie of Milton, Louisiana, and Kellie Nambo and husband Ruben of Maurice, Louisiana; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Becky Wooten; his grandson, Ky Benjamin Veronie; his parents, Ben and Mary Wooten; his grandparents, Ben Wooten, Sr., John and Inez Landsford; his father and mother-in-law, U.L. and Joanna Hebert; and his sisters-in-law, Sandra Hebert and Carla Leger.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
