John JD Standridge

Loreauville–A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for John “JD” Standridge, age 70, on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Godwin Nzeh as Celebrant. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., and resume on Thursday, March 4, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to time of service at 11:00 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Loreauville, John “JD” Standridge passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes Reginal Medical Center.

JD, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and best friend, held a special place in the hearts of everyone who knew him. For 50 wonderful years, he was devoted to the love of his life, Jody, building a life rooted in loyalty, laughter, and unwavering commitment. JD began working at the young age of 15, learning the value of hard work and responsibility early on. He spent many years working on crew boats and push boats, dedicating himself fully to his craft. Through determination and perseverance, he built a remarkable career spanning more than 30 years, ultimately earning the respected title of Senior Electrician with Murphy Oil Production.

Outside of his career, JD found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He took pride in keeping his yard just right, spending countless hours cutting grass and tending to the outdoors. He cherished time spent hunting and fishing, finding peace and contentment in nature. Above all, JD treasured time with his family and friends, always ready with a helping hand, a kind word, or a warm smile. His legacy of hard work, devotion, and love will live on through the many lives he touched and the family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts

John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jodi Vaughn Standridge, his two children, Jamie Standridge, Jeremy Standridge (Sausha); grandchildren, Logan Girouard, Rachel Girouard, Jeremy Standridge, Jr., Jared Standridge; one great-grandchild, Jensyn Standridge; two brothers, Joey Standridge (Rhea), Willliam Standridge, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Jade Standridge; parents, Joe D. and Francis Martin Standridge; two brothers, Eric and Paul Standridge.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Logan Girouard, Rachel Girouard, Jemery Standridge, Jr., Jared Standridge, William Standridge, Luke Vaughn.

Honored to serves as Honorary Pallbearers are Dale Vaughn, and Izacc Herrera.
