Jeanerette- Funeral Services for Mr. June Mid "Jim" Trotter. Jr., 83, will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Jeanerette on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 12:30PM with Reverand Roland Fontenot officiating. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Jeanerette on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 10:00AM until the time of services.

A resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Jim passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025. He bravely served our country in the U.S. NAVY for four years. For forty-seven years, he was a part of the school system as a schoolteacher and principal. He also served in the Music Ministry and was a Sunday School teacher. In his free time, he enjoyed playing Cajun music and having jam sessions with his fellow musicians. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Trotter of Jeanerette; his children, Tami Baca of Fernley, Nevada, and Troy Albert and his wife Glauce Mariho of Maurice; his grandchildren children, Shea White and husband Gary, Tarayn Shenk and her husband Jake, Dustin Richard, Seth Hebert, and Daniel Carter; his great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Kaleb, Gage, Gavin, Alyssa, Amelia, and Jenny; his brother, John Trotter and his wife Marie; and his sister in-law, Phoebe Trotter.

He is preceded in death by his parents, June Mid Trotter Sr. and Melba Trotter; his son, Jason Albert; and his brother, Bill Trotter.

Serving as pallbearers will be Seth Hebert, Dustin Richard, Daniel Carter, Dave Hewing, Everet Dionne, and Jimmy Courville.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Elridge, Phil, Stephen Guillot, and Rene’ Baudry.

In lieu of flowers, the Trotter family would like donations to be made to the First Baptist Church of New Iberia.

Frioux-David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost Street, 337-276-5151, will be handling the arrangements.
