Jeanette B. Buford

New Iberia–Funeral services will be conducted for Jeanette B. Buford, age 70, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior’s Church in Broussard with Pastor Gabe Smith officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum in New Iberia, LA.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and resume on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Our Savior’s Church at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Born New Iberia, Jeanette Ann Breaux on February 10,1955, to Junius and Inez Breaux.

Married, LeRoy John Daigle in 1970. They had four children Rachael, Shane, Nichole and Kimberly.

Jeanette Ann Breaux Daigle Buford was a devoted woman of faith and family. She was a faithful member of Our Savior’s Church for nearly 25 years and later married the love of her life, Clyde “Buddy” Buford. Together they shared many happy years until his passing. Jeanette was blessed with sixteen grandchildren whom she loved dearly, along with numerous great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She will be remembered for her deep faith, her generous spirit, and the love she poured into her family and community.

Jeanette spent her life working hard and serving others with a joyful heart. She worked at Pot Plants, a job she cherished because of her love for flowers, as well as at Regions Bank, Steins Superette, and as an Avon representative for over 14 years. Her favorite color was purple, which filled her wardrobe, home, and garden. Jeanette was passionate about leading intercessory prayer meetings, volunteering at The Hope Center and The Angel Food Ministry, baking wedding, and birthday cakes, and guiding her Bible study group every Friday. Known for her warm personality and love of conversation, she could often be found visiting with friends and staff at Duffy’s and Mel’s Diner, brightening everyone’s day with her smile and kind words.

Jeanette is survived by children, Rachael Brackin (Kenneth), Shane Daigle, Nichole Daigle, Kimberly Daigle; grandchildren, Justin, Brittany, Alicia’, Nicolas, Noah, Alex, Alexys, Laci, Mayah, Jordan, Alyssa, Jace, Tristan, Amberly; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Leona Little, Myrtle Viator, and Nancy Williams.

She was preceded in death by husband Clyde “Buddy” Buford, II; parents, Junius and Inez Derise Breaux; siblings, Roberta Migues, Helen LeBlanc, Deloris Borel, and one grandchild, Kennedy Daigle.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Nicolas Guttry, Justin Sonnier, Jordan Daigle, Jace Smothers, Tristan Daigle, and John Williams.

Honored to serve as Honorary Pallbearers are Kenneth Brackin, and Shane Daigle.
