Janie Suire

Erath–A Celebration of life will be conducted for Janie Suire on a later date with family and friends.

A native of Oregon and resident of Erath, Janie passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Iberia Medical Center.

Janie was a loving mother, proud grandmother of her two grandchildren, and a woman whose heart was always open to others. She never met a stranger, greeting everyone with warmth and kindness that made them feel instantly at home. When she encountered someone who was down on their luck, Janie was the first to offer encouragement, support, and a gentle reminder that brighter days were ahead. Her compassion and generous spirit touched countless lives and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Janie found her greatest joy in simple pleasures—tending to her beautiful flower gardens and baking pies that became her signature expression of love. She was well known for her delicious pies, which graced many family gatherings and special occasions. Beyond her talents in the kitchen and garden, Janie was also a gifted artist, creating works that reflected her creativity and appreciation for beauty. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and artistry that will continue to bloom in the hearts of her family and friends.

Janie is survived by her mother, Kathy Huff; three children, Emily Suire and husband, Patrick Faulk, Jack Wainman-Suire, Madeline Suire; two grandchildren, Janie Suire, Zarek Suire; two siblings, Andy Thomas and wife Tina, Cinda Brundidge and husband Scott, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Wainman.
