A native of Stuttgart, AR and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Elliott died at 9:55PM on Monday, June 1, 2026 at The Calcutta House.
Hunter Elliott, born March 5, 2001. Hunter was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, and friend whose life was defined by his unwavering love for his family. On August 24, 2019, he married the love of his life, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, laughter, and devotion.
Hunter loved the outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing, or working hard to provide for those he loved. More than anything, he treasured time with his family. He delighted in playing with his children, getting them wound up before bedtime, and filling their days with laughter and unforgettable memories. He adored his wife and loved his family fiercely, always putting them at the center of everything he did.
Known for his quick wit and playful spirit, Hunter never missed an opportunity to crack a joke or lovingly pester those closest to him—especially his Nana (Kim). He had a gift for making people laugh and bringing light into every room he entered. Thoughtful, intentional, funny, strong, and steadfast, Hunter faced life with determination and a generous heart. Though his time on earth was far too short, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the legacy he leaves behind will live on in all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Brie Derrick Elliott; his father, Phil Elliot; his mother, Melissa King White and her husband Chris; a son, Benjamin Daniel Elliott; a daughter, Charlotte Jean Elliott; a brother, Houston Elliott and Autumn; his mother in law, Tonya and her husband John Anderson; his father in law, Ricci Derrick and his wife Cori; five sister in laws, Gracie and her husband Isaac, Kara, Sara, Klara, and Makala; a brother in law, Kevin; and a host of family and friends.
Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Landon Williams.
Frioux Funeral Home of Jeanerette at 400 Provost St. (337)276-5151 will be handling the arrangement.
