Henry J. Vincent

New Iberia – Henry J. Vincent Sr., 88, passed away at 3:55AM on Wednesday, April 01, 2026, at Azalea Estates.

A native of Saint Martinville and a resident of New Iberia, Henry was a simple man who found great peace in the outdoors. He loved hunting and casting a line into the water. Henry was an avid storyteller, captivating those who listened to his vivid tales and memories. He cherished watching things grow, finding fulfillment in his garden where he propagated fruit trees. A dedicated entrepreneur, guided by determination, he created Henry Vincent Heating and Cooling in the early 1970’s. He took pride in hard work and providing for his family. His legacy lives on in the strength he showed, the life he built, and the memories he made under open skies and along the waters’ edge.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Valls and her husband Scott, and Dana Stokes and her husband Dr. Perry; a sister, Debbie Menard, and her husband Dr. John; eight grandchildren, Lauren Bolten, Stephen Valls; Joel Bernard Vincent, William Fouquier, Justin Fouquier, Rivers Stokes, Aline Stokes, and Steven Stokes; and nine great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Jeanette Bernard Vincent; a son, Henry J. Vincent, Jr.; a brother, Leroy Vincent; his parents, O’Neil and Maria Latiolais Vincent; and a grandson, Avery John Vincent.
