Jeanerette – Funeral Services for Mrs. Helen Copp Verret, 90, will be held at 1:30PM on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Jeanerette with Deacon Russel Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10:00AM until the time of service on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Jeanerette.

Helen had a deep love of the outdoors and an adventurous spirit. Helen especially enjoyed fishing and camping, where she found peace and joy in nature. She also loved visiting the casino, never missing a chance to try her luck and enjoy the excitement.

Helen’s warmth, laughter, and love for life will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her memory will live on in shared stories, quiet moments by the water, and every camping trip that brings loved ones together.

She is survived by her children, Curt Verret (Sandra); Dixie Naquin (Harold), Chester Verret, Jr. (Kiz), Alex Verret, Sr. (Sandra), Art Verret, Sr., (Tambra), Kate Verret (Russel Prince), and Robin Boutte (James, Jr.); sixteen grandchildren, Nichole LaBiche (Adam), Corey Naquin (Lindsey), Chester Verret III (B.J.), Travis Verret (Angela), Alex Verret, Jr. (Allyson), Shane Verret (Kelli), Art Verret, Jr. (Ashley) Orry Verret (Mary), Hunter Verret, Logan Verret, Eric Delcambre, Krystal Verret, Brandon Derouen, Owen Derouen, Luke Boutte, and Reegun Boutte; twenty-one great-grandchildren, Kylan LaBiche (Kloie), Riley LaBiche, Gavin Naquin, Gage Naquin, Graham Naquin, Gracie Verret, Emmy Verret, Kadence Verret, Kinley Verret, Jakson Verret, Bailey Verret, Bryce Verret, Madison Verret, Olivia Verret, Lillie Verret, Nova Freeman, Sai Freeman, Marlee Boutte, Ella Boutte, Avyn Boutte, and Shia Boutte; four great-great-grandchildren, Amelie, Emereigh, Tanner, and Koah, and a sister, Hazel Broussard.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Verret, Sr.; her parents, Euclide and Dalzire Albert Copp; two sisters, Dorothy Babin and Virginia Olivier; and a brother, Dudley Copp, Sr.

Serving as pallbearers will be Alex Verret, Jr., Art Verret, Jr., Corey Naquin, Brandon Derouen, Travis Verret, and Eric Delcambre.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Shane Verret, Orry Verret, Hunter Verret, Logan Verret, Owen Derouen, and Chester Verret, III.
