Loreauville – A Celebration of Life will be held for Mr. Harold J. Neuville, Jr., 78, at 11:00AM, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Loreauville, with Rev. Bill Melancon and Rev. Godwin Nzeh officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. All are welcome to join the family for a reception at St. Theresa’s Hall in Loreauville.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will begin at 9:00AM, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, with a rosary being prayed at 10:30AM, before the Mass.

It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Neuville Jr., who entered into eternity on the evening of July 21, 2026, surrounded by family and close friends. Harold was born on June 24, 1948, to the late Harold Neuville, Sr. and Anna Mae Olivier Neuville. On August 9, 1969, he married the love of his life, Kerry Dale Gondron Neuville. Together they built a marriage that stood the test of time. Through life’s joys and hardships, they remained by each other’s side, creating a home filled with love, faith, and commitment. Together they raised five children, teaching them the value of hard work and family. In his later years, her love never wavered. She remained by his side, caring for him with remarkable strength and devotion. Their marriage was a true example of enduring love. Harold J. Neuville built a distinguished career spanning more than five decades in construction, materials testing, manufacturing, and quality assurance. A lifelong resident of South Louisiana, Harold was best known for his expertise as an Asphaltic Concrete Technician and his unwavering commitment to quality in every project he touched. Harold began his professional journey in 1974 in the oilfield manufacturing sector in New Iberia, where he served as a manufacturing foreman for nearly 20 years. His leadership and technical skills later led him to Advanced Polymer Systems in Lafayette, where he worked as a chemical plant operator specializing in bio-friendly polymer production. From 1997-2004, Harold served as Quality Assurance Manager at Chart Industries in New Iberia, overseeing the fabrication of specialized aluminum and stainless-steel structures. His reputation for precision and reliability made him a trusted figure in the region’s industrial community. Harold’s career reached its fullest expression in the construction materials field. He spent over a decade as QA/QC Manager for both H&S Construction and Glenn Lege Construction, where he oversaw asphalt design, plant operations, and quality control for major municipal, DOTD, commercial, and subdivision projects across Acadiana. In 2017, Harold expanded his service to the community through work with Louisiana Testing and Inspection, providing asphalt testing and quality assurance for clients throughout the region. The following year, he founded HN Inspection, his own asphalt design and testing firm, where he continued to lend his expertise, professionalism, and steady leadership. Harold was certified LADOTD as an Asphaltic Concrete Technician, and he was widely respected for his reliability, work ethic, and ability to perform under pressure. He took great pride in ensuring that the roads and infrastructure built in South Louisiana met the highest standards of safety and quality. Before beginning his civilian career, Harold honorably served in the United States Navy from 1968-1971. He later earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Spencer Business College, with coursework in management and accounting. His colleagues, clients, and community knew him as a dependable professional, a patient mentor, and a man who took pride in doing things the right way. Harold was a man of the outdoors; drawn to the quiet rhythm of nature and the freedom it offered. He loved deer hunting and spent countless mornings in the woods, tracking, reading signs, and working the land with the sharp instinct and awareness that defined his style. When he wasn’t in the woods, he often rode his boat through the Atchafalaya Basin and the lakes near his home, exploring the wilderness. On the weekends, he headed to the camp to go fox hunting with his hound dogs. Raising, training, and running those hounds was the heartbeat of his life. Their music in the night, the chase, the bond between hunter and dog—that was Harold’s joy, forming some of his most cherished memories.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Kerry Dale Gondron Neuville; his children who he was immensely proud of, Angie Isaac (Craig), Brandon Neuville (Alexis), Aimee Neuville, Erin Castillo (Juan Sr.), and Cale Neuville (Breigh); grandchildren, Justin Neuville, Keri Falcon (Connor), Stella Neuville, Haiden Neuville, Aijah Fields, Avion Fields, Jr., Viviana Castillo, Juan Castillo Jr., Olivia Isaac, Dash Neuville, and Aston Neuville; siblings, Rita Levet, Clyde Neuville, Nancy White, Katie Minvielle, and Todd Neuville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Neuville Sr. and Anna Mae Olivier Neuville; paternal grandparents, Eusebe and Stella Neuville; maternal grandparents, Louis A. and Ange Marie Olivier; and his mother and father-in-law, Woodrow Gondron Sr., and Rena Prosper Gondron.

The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped to care for him throughout his journey. The staff at Bayou Shadows Rehabilitation for their kindness and compassion. Foundation’s Hospice and their incredible team for not only caring for him but surrounding our family with guidance, compassion, and comfort. Also, a special thank you to his two caretakers, Justin Fusilier and Aquantis "Q" Linzer, whose love and compassion went far beyond profession. They cared for him as if they were his own family and we are forever grateful.
