Glenna Curtis Parria

Jeanerette ~ A Graveside Service for Ms. Glenna Curtis Parria, 67, will be held at 9:00AM, on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Jeanerette. 

Ms. Glenna Curtis Parria passed away at 6:32AM, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at her residence. Glenna leaves behind a family she loved and adored, especially her kids, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her cat Oatmeal. To her, there was nothing better than being a Granny. She was a great cook and found joy in cooking and serving her loved ones at family functions. Glenna found peace outdoors and would even say cutting grass was relaxing. Memories are abundant to those she leaves behind, whether it be time spent with her mom and kids delivering newspapers or displaying a clean right hook, which her son Glenn could undoubtedly confirm. 

Ms. Glenna Curtis Parria is survived by four sons, Michael Parria, jr. and his wife Falecia of Scott, Frank Parria, Sr. and his wife Alexis of Baldwin, Glenn Parria and his wife Bridget of New Iberia, and Dustin Parria and his wife Jennifer of Franklin; one daughter, Mandy LeBlanc and her husband Clement of New Iberia; two brothers, Henry Curtis and his wife Angela of Jeanerette and Michael Curtis of New Iberia; three sisters, Juella Owens and her husband Hilton of Franklin, Vicky Lopez of Crowley, and Karissa Jones of Jeanerette; eleven grandchildren, Alexis, Austin, Frank Jr., Peter, Alex, Baylee, Braxton, Joab, Gabe, Mavrick, and Cassie; and two great-great grandchildren, Mateo and Amelia Rose. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Curtis and Elnora Guillotte Curtis; her husband of forty-four years, Michael Parria, Sr.; and two brothers, Julian Curtis and Carl Curtis. 

Pallbearers will be Frank Parria, Sr., Dustin Parria, Glenn Parria, Michael Parria, Jr., Braxton Trosclair, and Frank Parria, Jr. 

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Aunt Susan Lusk for her selflessness during Glenna’s time of need.
