A native of Youngsville and resident of Erath, Mrs. Gladys “Honey” Frederick, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 2:45PM. Gladys, known to her grandchildren as Honey, touched the lives of many through her kindness, her talents, and her love for her family and friends. She shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, with whom she found great joy in making ceramics. Together, they ran a ceramic shop where their creativity and partnership flourished. An artistic spirit, she also found joy in painting and expressing herself through color and design. A woman of many talents, Gladys was exceptionally gifted with numbers and had a sharp mind for games—especially bourrée and casino card games. Her skill and luck made her a formidable and fun opponent at the card table, and she especially loved her exciting trips to Las Vegas, where she could match wits and enjoy the thrill of the game. Reading was one of Gladys’ favorite pastimes, providing her with quiet joy and endless stories. She also cherished time spent dining out with her friends, sharing meals and laughter. But nothing brought her more happiness than being surrounded by family. She deeply loved family gatherings, where her warmth and spirit always brought everyone together.
