Abbeville-A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Frank J. LeBouef, 88, will be held at Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic Church of Abbeville on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 11:00AM with Fr. Matthew Barzare officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum of Erath.
Visitation will be held at Frioux Funeral Home of Abbeville on Monday, April 20, 2026 from 4:00PM until 8:30PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 9:00AM until time of services.
A resident of Erath and born and raised in Abbeville, Mr. Frank passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026. He was a humble man who appreciated the simple pleasures in life. He grew up in Abbeville near the city pool, where he worked as a lifeguard. At 17 years old, he joined the U.S. NAVY. After being honorably discharged, he worked in the procurement division at Chevron/Unocal for over 50 years starting from Intracoastal City to Lafayette to Houma to Houston and back to Lafayette. Mr. Frank enjoyed dining out at his favorite restaurants, playing cards, and watching movies. He had a special love for reading, which brought him both comfort and joy throughout his life. Above all, Frank cherished the time he spent with his family. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Barbara Menard LeBouef of Erath; his children, Kenneth J. LeBouef (Melinda) of Kirbyville, Tx, Kevin A. LeBouef (Wendy) of Houma, and Karen LeBouef Rana of Youngsville; his grandchildren, Jason, Kaitlyn, Hunter, Remi, Alaina, Alyssa, and Renae; and his great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wiltz J. LeBouef and Goldie McEvers LeBouef; his brothers, Wiltz J. “Sonny” LeBouef, Jr. and Curtis Kenneth LeBouef; and his grandson, Logan Anthony Rana.
