New Iberia – Funeral Services for Mr. Frank Cuccio, 96, will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Frioux Funeral Chapel of New Iberia with Fr. Keith Landry officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Thursday, December 4, 2025 beginning at 4:00PM and continuing until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, December 5, 2025 beginning at 8:00AM until the time of the services.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Cuccio died at 5:15AM on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Camelot of Broussard. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Then he served his community as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service before he retired with over 45 years of service, never taking one sick day. During that time, he received the outstanding letter carrier award. Mr. Frank loved boxing and was an avid football fan. He also enjoyed gardening, raising beagles, and hunting rabbits.
He is survived by a son, David Cuccio and partner Ricardo of Sandford, MA; three daughters, Donna Soileau and her husband Andy of New Iberia, Gail Gautreau and her husband Steve of New Iberia, and Marla Briscoe and her husband Tom of Youngsville; nine grandchildren, Alexis Montet and Daniel, Meryl Haynes and Jeremy, Ethan Briscoe and Madison, Chloe Briscoe and Ayden, Emily Bowen and Chris, Jacob Gautreau and Sara, Christie Soileau, Kyla Regan and Jesse, and Neil Soileau and Brooke; and thirteen great grandchildren, Griffin Montet, Jack Henry Montet, Monroe Haynes, Sloane Haynes, Wyatt Deselle, Luke Soileau, Eli Soileau, Emerson Regan, Liam Regan, Levi Regan, Ellionne Bowen, Hudson Bowen, and Ella Gautreau.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrlene Toups Cuccio; his parents, Joseph and Josephine Rosella Cuccio; four brothers, Johnny Cuccio, Lew Cuccio, Sam Cuccio, and Joe Cuccio; a sister, Catherine C. Primeaux; and a grandchild, Jonathan Gautreau.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wyatt Deselle, Luke Soileau, Ethan Briscoe, Eli Soileau, Emerson Regan, Liam Regan and Levi Regan.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff at Camelot of Broussard for their love and care for Mr. Cuccio during his time with them.
