Francis Menard

Lafayette- Memorial Services for Sgt. Francis “Frank” Menard, 68, will be held at a later date.

A resident of Broussard, Frank passed away at AMG Hospital on Monday, April 20, 2020.

Frank was a proud Veteran, serving in the U.S. National Guard before joining the U.S. Army in 1973, retiring as a SP5/Sergeant in 1977. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Always a jokester, he loved to make people laugh. He never met a stranger. Above all else, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Deanna Menard; his daughter, Leigh Ann Vallot and her husband John of Youngsville; his grandchildren, Caroline and Noah; his brothers, Clay Menard and his wife Corrie of Eunice, and Don Menard and his wife Nena of Grand Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Menard and Ursula Lafleur; and his brother, Patrick Menard.
