Jeanerette – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Faye Marie Webre Landry, 90, at 10:00AM on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Celebrants Father Randall Moreau and Father Francis Damoah officiating. Interment will follow at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery.

Family and friends will gather at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 9:30AM on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, for the recitation of the Holy Rosary which will be prayed prior to the start of the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

Faye passed away Friday, June 26, 2026. She was born on January 17, 1936, in Thibodaux, Louisiana to parents Roy and Bessie Webre. She was the oldest of five siblings. Her family eventually settled in Jeanerette where she met and married Walter Landry in September of 1955. She and her husband raised fifteen children.

She was a woman of deep unwavering Catholic faith. She lived her life guided by prayer, compassion, and devotion to God. Her faith was the foundation of her home and the source of her strength throughout her life.

As a loving wife and mother of fifteen children, she devoted herself to her family and her home. She found immense joy in attending Mass, praying a daily rosary, and sharing her faith and time with her family. She had a great gift for writing and making people feel at ease. She leaves behind an example of devotion to God, dedication to family and a life lived with grace and purpose.

She is survived by her children, Susan L. Derouen, Jennifer L. Gary, Sandra L. (Hale) Boudreaux, Michael J. (Robin) Landry, Walter J. (Simone Mestayer) Landry, Jr., Christine A. Landry, Julie L. (Kip) LaBiche, Stephen G. (Annette) Landry, Rebecca L. (John) Napier, Timothy F. (Virginia) Landry, Patrick J. (Cara) Landry, Rachel L. (Brandon) Muffoletto, John P. (Calli) Landry, and Catherine Landry; thirty-four grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren with another one expected in the fall; a sister, Patsy W. Stewart; and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Landry, Sr.; her parents, Roy J. Sr. and Bessie Soignet Webre; a son Robert P. Landry; a granddaughter, Emily Anne Landry; a great-grandson, Judah Robert Boudreaux; a son-in-law, Michael W. Derouen; three siblings, Rudolph Webre, Roy J. Webre, Jr., and Sylvia W. Landry; and her in-laws, Walter “Pete” and Dorothy R. Landry.

Serving as pall bearers will be Wally, Stephen, Timmy, Patrick, John, and Mark Landry.
