Doris Trahan Suire

New Iberia- Memorial Services for Mrs. Doris Trahan Suire, 93, will be held at Frioux Funeral Home of New Iberia on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 1:30PM with Deacon Josh LeBlanc officiating. Inurnment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Frioux Funeral Home of New Iberia on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 10:00AM until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 1:00PM by Deacon Josh LeBlanc.

A native of New Iberia, Mrs. Doris passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and beautiful memories. She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Wilmer Suire. Together, they enjoyed traveling, discovering new places, dancing, and making memories side by side. She was also a hardworking and accomplished woman who, alongside her husband, founded a local machine shop serving the oil and gas industry. She also loved to cook and took great pleasure in preparing meals for the people she loved. She also had a passion for gardening and took pride in nurturing flowers and plants. Above all, she treasured her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. The memories she created with them will be treasured for generations to come. She will be deeply missed by many.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Suire Landry; her son, Michael Suire and his wife Jodie; her daughter in-law, Jill Hebert Suire; her grandchildren, Kelli Landry Belaire and her husband Max, Jason Landry, Clint Landry, Erin Suire Rodrigue and her husband Kevin, Jordy Suire, Nicole Suire, Lauren Suire Barthelemy and her husband Chase, Dustin Suire and his wife Megan, and Emily Suire Broussard and her husband Matt; and her many great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Suire; her son, Mickey Suire; her parents, Evalture Trahan and Mathilde Borel Trahan; her son in-law, Jerry Landry; and her siblings, Claudia T. Viator, Louise T. Derouen, Murphy Trahan, Ralph Trahan, Virgie T. LaSalle, and Mildred T. Racheau.
