Donna Richard Hargrave

Erath – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Donna Fay Richard Hargrave, 74, will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Sensat officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.

Visitation will begin at 5:00PM until 9:00PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Erath with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 9:00AM until the time of service.

Donna was a woman of deep faith, boundless love, and joyful spirit. A devout Catholic, she was steadfast in her relationship with God and rarely found without her rosary in hand. Prayer was the foundation of her life, and her faith guided everything she did.

Donna’s greatest love was her family. She adored her children, but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly her life and her complete joy. They were the light of her days, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them. Whether laughing, baking, or simply being together, she made each grandchild feel deeply loved and cherished.

Known for her playful and silly side, Donna loved to dance and sing, often filling a room with laughter and music. She had a passion for baking and created many sweet memories in the kitchen, especially when making chocolate bread with her grandbabies. She was also famous for her pineapple upside-down cake, a beloved treat family and friends always looked forward to. Donna found beauty in flowers and delighted in their colors and fragrances, seeing them as reflections of God’s creation.

Donna was an active and devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She shared her love of music as a member of the adult choir and faithfully served in the Our Lord Jesus prayer group, Altreya. With compassion and empathy born from her own life experiences, she also facilitated the St. Monica’s Widow-to-Widow support group, offering comfort, understanding, and friendship to others walking a similar path.

Donna’s life was a living example of faith in action—rooted in prayer, overflowing with love, and expressed through service to others. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, kindness, and joy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She is survived by three daughters, Tammy Nunez (Michael Juan), Rebecca Suire, and Janlynn Davis (John Robertson); a son, Jason Hargrave (Erika); twelve grandchildren, Jordan Sandhu (Humneet), Alyssa Nguyen (Vu), Dustin LeMaire (Jackie), Rylie Suire, Regin Hargrave, Kayden Hargrave, Caleb Davis (McKenzie), Lily Davis (Oscar Latorre), Michael Davis, Matthew Hargrave, Elise Hargrave, and Audrey Hargrave; six great-grandchildren, Avani, Hayden, Saylor, Penny, Everly, and Ava-Kate; a sister, Janel Delino (Sammy); two brothers, Reed Richard and Jaimey Richard (Holly); and her beloved dog, Gracie.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Joseph Hargrave; and her parents, Ulyess and Verda Labit Richard.

Serving as pall bearers will be Dustin LeMarie, Caleb Davis, Matthew Hargrave, Michael Davis, Kayden Hargrave, and Bart Delino.

Serving as honorary pall bearers will be Jaimey Richard, Sammy Delino, Reed Richard, Michael Juan Nunez, Oscar Latorre, John Robertson, Ronnie Hargrave, and Marvin Hebert.
