Donna S. Cormier

Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Donna S. Cormier, 75, will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 1:00PM with Fr. Daniel Picard officiating. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 9:00AM until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.

A resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Donna passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. She retired from the United States Postal Service after 25 years of service. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her husband. They worked together and helped run the LAAD BINGO Club in Lafayette and were even crowned the 2020 Mardi Gras Ball King and Queen. She was a lovely woman and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, Cleve Cormier of Youngsville; her brothers, Bobby Sonnier and his wife Marlene of Lafayette, and Johnnie Sonnier and his wife Jamie of Lafayette; her aunt, Grace Sonnier of Lafayette; her numerous cousins; her nieces and nephews, Caitlin Russo, Gannon Sonnier, Johnathan Sonnier, Jessica Crenshaw, David Sonnier, and Courtney Cavazos; and her great-nieces and nephews, Ariana Russo, Sophia Russo, Helena Sonnier, Jolie Crenshaw, Landen Sonnier, Colten Sonnier, and Dylan Cavazos.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harris and Lucille Sonnier; and her brother, David Thomas Sonnier.
