Donlon "Gage" Ritchey

Abbeville – Private Memorial Services for Donlon “Gage” Ritchey, 22, will take place at a later date.

A 2021 graduate of Erath High School, Gage approached life with an eagerness to learn and a mind that never stopped asking questions. He had an incredible ability to absorb information and was always searching for something new to discover. If the conversation turned to cars, he was in his element. He could tell you everything about them, from how they were built to the year they were released.

He found peace in the outdoors with a fishing pole in hand. Whether he was fishing for catfish or white perch, those moments on the water were among his happiest. He loved to spend countless hours playing video games, his Xbox was one of his favorite pastimes.

Though his time on this earth was far too short, the memories he created and the joy her brought to those around him will endure. He will be remembered for his sharp mind, his passion for learning, his love of the outdoors, and the enthusiasm he had for the things he cared about most.

Gage is survived by his parents, Scott and Marseille Ritchey of Erath; five siblings, Keisha Dauteriel, Trevor Ritchey and his wife Jessica, Bailey Ritchey, Angelica David and her husband Ross, Anabella Ritchey; his nieces, Ava Dauteriel and Aubrey David; his nephew, Carter David; his godparents, Danny Ritchey, Vickie Ritchey; his maternal grandmother, Dianna Leblanc; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Gage is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donlon and Dorothy Ritchey; his maternal grandfather, Stafford Leblanc.
